The Middle Way

While some are calling true believers to strategically and selectively withdraw from society (as you are aware, I hope, having read carefully the links I’ve provided recently about the Benedict Option), others are calling for Christians to set aside their well-behavior, or are suggesting that believers develop a “Daniel Option” as a counterproposal. While I (predictably) find these proposals less than compelling (the latter evidencing some bad reading of history), things look to be shaping up for a good conversation, especially “as we see the day approaching.”

Now there’s a third hat in the ring, however. Not that it is always evidence of a dominant compromise gene, but it seems as though in any instance of two mutually exclusive positions, some evangelical somewhere must propose a middle way. Is this that?
