Statement of Religious Position

Since God made me aware of the desperate condition of my soul several years ago, I have been trusting in Jesus Christ’s death as a substitute for me, paying an infinite debt which I could never have repaid in a thousand eternities. No sufficient thankfulness has ever come from a human being for such undeserved favor.

Because of what God has done for me, I have also been trying to avoid doing things which displease Him. No comprehensive list of sins exists (unless you are subject to a magisterium) , so my interpretation and appropriation of what “sin” entails will probably differ from yours. The point is, I have a list; I’m trying to make it look like God’s list; I want to keep the list; I fall short; and I need divine help.

I often write about my religion.  I will often refer to the Bible because that’s where I primarily go to get my religion. On subjects where the Bible is silent or limited historically, I will try to use appropriate sources of information and wisdom.

Feel free to disagree.
